“I was so nervous because I hadn’t exercised in 15 years…Club Fitness has changed my life.”

When Dawn Remes’ kidney doctor told her that her Body Mass Index (BMI) was too high to be considered for a kidney transplant, she knew she needed to make a big life change. So in December 2018 Dawn’s niece invited her to the gym on a Free Day Pass.

“I was so nervous because I hadn’t exercised in 15 years. But the staff were so friendly and helpful. They explained how to use all the equipment and answered all of my questions,” says Dawn.

Dawn is one of the lucky few who gets to train with Sean Manovill, founder of Club Fitness. Sean says, “Every time Dawn comes in to train she says, ‘If it wasn’t for you waiting for me, I wouldn’t come.’” Sean’s response is always, ‘The reason why I am here for you is because of your commitment to improving.’ Sean humbly brags about Dawn’s progress to members and friends quite often. “We love when our clients get excited and begin to care about their own health and wellness just as much as we do.”

One of Dawn’s keys to success has been training with Sean twice a week at our Castleton location. “My main reason for joining was for health reasons. In a year and a half, I have lost 70 pounds, 10 inches around my hips and 5 inches around my waist. I have gone from 45% Body Fat to 35% Body Fat. But above all, I am now being considered for a kidney transplant. Club Fitness has changed my life.”

We are in absolute awe of Dawn’s story. Dawn’s decision to take control of her health has changed the entire trajectory of her life. Her commitment and perseverance are truly inspiring. We are so thankful to be a stepping stone in her health and wellness journey.

Congratulations Dawn! If her story has inspired you, will you please like or share this post?
